Ovesco Endoscopy is a medical device company operating in the fields of flexible endoscopy & endoluminal surgery. The OTSC® (Over-The-Scope Clip) is Ovesco’s product platform for the treatment of GI hemorrhage & endoscopic wall closure. The most recent additions to Ovesco’s product portfolio include the novel FTRD® System for endoscopic Full-Thickness Resection of lesions throughout the GI tract, Stentfix OTSC® for the fixation of self-expandable metallic stents (SEMS), Bougie Caps for dilation of strictures in the upper gastrointestinal tract, and the OTSG® Xcavator for transgastric pancreatic necrosectomy, removal of blood clots and foreign bodies throughout the gastrointestinal tract.
The OTSC® System represents a new class of endoscopic clips providing significantly more strength and better tissue capture compared to conventional clips delivered through the working channel of the flexible endoscope. In addition, for precise and easy closure of even larger lesions several application aids are available: the OTSC® Anchor and the OTSC® Twin Grasper® support clip placement.
Stentfix OTSC® System
The stentfix OTSC® System is the innovative solution for stent fixation in the digestive tract. The round design of the stentfix OTSC® clip adapts to the gastrointestinal anatomy. Due to the modified cap shape, stentfix OTSC® can easily be aligned to the stent opening for optimal stent mesh and tissue capture by the clip. The compact design of the stentfix OTSC® System also allows the passage through a stent (from Ø 18 mm), therefore, fixation is possible either on the proximal or distal end.
The extra-large capacity of the OTSG Xcavator™ allows easy and effective removal of necrotic (pancreatic) tissue, blood clots, food boluses and foreign bodies.
The FTRD® System is a novel tool for flexible endoscopy for full-thickness resection and diagnostic tissue acquisition of suitable lesions in the digestive tract. The technology is based on the well-established OTSC® System, enabling the endoscopist to resect all layers of suitable lesions including the serosa. The design of the FTRD® System ensures that the transection of the tissue happens only after the defect has been closed completely. At no time will abdominal cavity and bowel lumen be in contact.
